Recipe Ingredients

  • 7 oz. of chocolate
  • 3 teaspoons of coffee
  • 7 oz of butter
  • 7 oz of sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons of vanilla
  • 3 to 3.5 cups of flour
  • 3 teaspoons of baking powder

Cream:

  • 18 oz of sour cream
  • 1 cup of sugar

Preparation


This confetti cake tastes fantastic.

Dissolve coffee in 7 oz of boiling water, add chocolate and reduce the heat. Melt the chocolate while constantly stirring. Let it cool down.

Mash the butter, vanilla and sugar.

Add eggs and thoroughly stir.

Then add the chocolate and coffee mix.

Add the flour, baking powder and stir into a mix that is not dense.

Bake 3 layers (I have a pan that is about 10”). Bake at 350-360 F for 15-20 minutes.

Thoroughly mix the sour cream with sugar, so the particles would disappear.

Apply the cream onto the layers. In order for the cake to absorb the cream better, you can cut every layer horizontally and apply a lot of cream. You can decorate the cake based on your preference.
