Liver cake

Recipe Ingredients

  • 24.5 oz beef liver
  • 2 eggs
  • 3.5 oz milk
  • 3.5 oz flour
  • 2-3 onions
  • 2-3 carrots
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • mayonnaise
  • vegetable oil
  • salt

for decoration:

  • 3 boiled eggs

Preparation


Remove the film from the raw liver and run the liver through a meat grinder.

Add eggs and mix well.

Add milk and combine.

Then add flour, salt, and combine.

Fry pancakes on both sides in a frying pan greased with butter. I cooked 4 pancakes that are 6.5” in diameter. For the pancakes not to brake, when you flip them over, I recommend to fry them this way: when a pancake fries from one side, it will easily slide on a plate; then you can flip it from the plate back in the frying pan, so you can fry another side.

Grate the carrot on a medium grater.

Mince the onion.

Sauté the onion and carrot in vegetable oil.

Add garlic squeezed through a garlic press to the mayonnaise.

Grease the pancake with mayonnaise.

Place the carrot and onion. Cover with the next pancake.

Put all the pancakes together this way. Decorate to taste. For example, you can decorate the borders with egg whites grated on a small grater. Cover the top with yolks grated on a small grater.
For best results, let the cake soak in the dressing.
