Strawberry chocolate cobbler

Recipe Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 pint strawberries (sliced)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter (unsalted prefered)
  • 2 cups whole grain flour (pastry flour prefered)
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder (unsweetened)
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Preparation


Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Get a small 3-4 quart glass baking dish and add your cocoa, butter, and 1/4 cup of the sugar. Place into the over for around 4 minutes (mainly to melt the butter). Remove from the over once the butter has melted and blend it all together.

In a medium sized bown add your 1 cup of milk, flour, cinnamon, baking powder, and the remaining 3/4 cup of sugar. Stir and blend until it is smooth. Using a large spoon or something similar, spoon this mixture on top of the butter mixture.

Now add the sliced strawberries to the top of your final mixture as the last step and bake for about 45 minutes. Use your own judgement to determine when it looks cooked.

Let it stand for at least 10 minutes before eating as it will be very hot.
